Gerroa Glows for Sewing MAYHem!
Here's a glowing Sewing MAYhem report from NSW's Gerroa Neighbourhood Group!
What an eye-catching display!
Gerroa Neighbourhood Group set up a display in Spotlight Nowra, who kindly loaned us mannequins for the afternoon. We showcased: garments and other items we’ve made; our plan for the year; contact details. A couple of passers-by who stopped thought our garments were for sale - but it had the desired effect of making them stop! We had good support from our members who helped to answer questions and quite a few people took our flyers, with hopes of joining, though with some rueing the lack of time to sew.
1. Just finished setting up...
2. Two ASG members chatting to one of a few members of the public who stopped to make enquiries
3. Including a past sewing teacher lamenting the lack of time to sew.
4. Showcasing the multiple sewing skills of our members
