Geelong's Celebrating National Sewing Month!

Did you know May 2014 is National Sewing Month?
This year's theme is Sewing Mayhem!
What a great time to get those sewing machines whirring and whip up a fabulous new something to call your own!
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting details of fabulous Open Days, Fashion Parades and High Teas around Australia, hosted by ASG Neighbourhood Groups to showcase the fun, expertise and sharing within the ASG.

If you are near
Geelong, why not come along on Saturday 3rd May, from 10:30am at the Geelong Neighbourhood Group Open Day.

Date: Saturday 3rd May, 2014

Time: 10:30am to 3:00pm

Venue: After-school Care Centre, cnr Fryers & Reynolds Rds, Highton

Members will be doing what they do best - working on their own current projects - cutting out - overlocking - embellishing - sewing a garment - pressing!

Feel free to pop in for the whole session or just for a few minutes to see what they get up to.

If you have some sewing or fitting that you would like help with, bring it along - they excel at helping each other out - and sharing and furthering the art of sewing!

Is there something happening in your neck of the woods? Check the National Sewing Month pages on the ASG Website. There’s a page for each state, so check out what’s on.
